The Greek and English Medical Community in UK are delighted that Prof Peter Giannoudis has been recently awarded by the NHS in Leeds the special Award of the unsung Hero of the NHS nominated by the public not only for his for his pioneering work in orthopaedics at Leeds Trauma Centre but also for the development of the Day One Trauma Charity which is the first charity of its kind in the country. Prof Giannoudis will give a lecture at the Hellenic Centre on the 18 November 2016. All members of the HMS are welcome. More details will follow.

In this way, a channel of communication will be established to enable scientists in Greece to explore opportunities abroad as well as expatriate scientists to further support the scientific community in Greece. They invite all the expatriate medical workforce to declare their availability and willingness to be contacted by and collaborate with individuals as well as scientific organisations in Greece
